Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the above post, which has arisen in the Fleet Maintenance Department at Cailogistics (Private) Limited. The Incumbents will be based in Harare
Carrying out maintenance and repair work on vehicles/units including condition-based maintenance.
Reacting timeously and cost effectively to breakdowns without compromising quality.
Planning and carrying out major overhauls of all mechanical units.
Carrying out failure analysis- 5WHY root cause analysis for all failed components/units or breakdowns.
Conducting all vehicle pre and post trip checks and ensure Job cards are raised and completed to the effect of work carried out.
Compiling documentation of vehicles/units repaired.
Preparing requisitions and seek necessary approval for required parts and components.
Reporting risks and opportunities to the Charge Hand.
Maintaining a properly clean, safe and environmentally friendly workplace.
Any other duties as assigned.
The ideal applicant should possess the following minimum qualifications and attributes:
Apprentice trained motor mechanic or trade tested Class 1 journeyman with at least three years post apprentice experience.
Be in possession of a clean class (two) driver’s licence.
Be in possession of 5 “O” levels, including English, Maths and Science at Grade C or better.
Be a good team player and have the ability to manage diversity.
Be self-motivated and able to work under pressure with minimal supervision
