Nurse Aid in the Student Health Section
The Nurse Aid who must be organized and energetic with a good record of public
relations will be responsible among other things;
Duties and Responsibilities
Damp dusting
· Cleaning, packing, and autoclaving
dressing packs
· Wheeling and escorting very ill students
to the hospital
· Screening all patients before
consultations (checking blood pressure, pulse, temperature, weight, and
monitoring adverse neurological signs).
· Dressing minor injuries and wounds
· Assisting with the feeding of patients
· Cleaning soiled linen before laundry
·
Checking instruments, temperature control,
trolley setting, and cleaning.
· First Aid services during functions
· Any other duties assigned by Nursing Staff
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications And Experience
· .5 ‘O’ Level subjects including English
Language
·
Red Cross/ Nurse Aid Certificate
·
Three years of post-qualification
experience in a hospital or Clinic.
