The Operations Controller is responsible for coordinating and monitoring daily security operations to ensure efficient service delivery, compliance with company procedures, effective incident management, optimal personnel deployment, and client satisfaction. The position serves as the operational link between management, clients, supervisors, and security personnel while ensuring the smooth functioning of control room operations and field activities.
1. Operations Coordination and Service Delivery
• Ensure all client sites are adequately staffed and operational.
• Coordinate security personnel deployments and shift coverage.
• Maintain seamless communication between field personnel, supervisors, clients, and management.
2. Incident and Emergency Management
• Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies.
• Coordinate deployment of response teams.
• Ensure accurate reporting, escalation, and resolution of incidents.
3. Control Room and Communication Management
• Effectively monitor and operate CCTV, GPS tracking, radio, and communication systems.
• Maintain accurate occurrence books, control room logs, and shift reports.
• Ensure timely dissemination of operational instructions.
4. Personnel Management and Discipline
• Monitor attendance, punctuality, and discipline of security personnel.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and client requirements.
• Address staffing shortages and deployment adjustments as required.
5. Client Relationship Management
• Respond to client concerns and complaints promptly.
• Ensure client instructions and service level requirements are adhered to.
• Maintain positive client relationships and service standards.
6. Fleet and Patrol Monitoring
• Monitor patrol vehicle movements and response teams.
• Track response times, vehicle utilization, and fuel consumption.
• Ensure adequate patrol coverage and operational readiness.
7. Reporting and Administration
• Produce accurate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
• Maintain records of deployments, incidents, equipment, and communications.
• Support operational planning and investigations.
8. Compliance, Health and Safety
• Ensure adherence to company policies, legal requirements, and operational standards.
• Promote workplace safety and emergency preparedness.
• Identify, report, and mitigate operational risks.
• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Security Management, Risk Management, Compliance, Business Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years' experience in security operations, guarding services, or security management.
• Demonstrated experience in staff deployment planning, supervision, incident management, and operational coordination.
• Strong understanding of client Service Level Agreements (SLAs), site instructions, and operational compliance requirements.
• Valid Class 4 Driver's Licence will be an added advantage.

• Good knowledge of security operations and control room procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with CCTV, GPS tracking, and radio communication systems.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• High levels of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
