Job Description
Our is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals willing to join a dynamic and vibrant
team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Train pest control technicians and assist them in their day-to-day tasks.
➢ Use your ‘detective’ skills to identify their problem and provide a solution.
➢ Communicate effectively with customers about what their pest problem is and how you will solve it.
➢ Use and maintain safety equipment including bump caps, gloves, goggles, respirators, eye washers, first aid kits and spill abatement equipment.
➢ Inspect, crawl and work in sub-areas, basements and attics of structures.
➢ Work with and around pest control products that have been approved for use by the Environmental
Management Agency (EMA) to control pests, making sure to follow labels appropriately.
➢ Enforce the pest quarantine regulations to ensure that regulated industries are in compliance
➢ Understand integrated pest management (IPM) and use the appropriate methods to treat infestations.
➢ Operate company vehicles, power sprayers, foggers, dusters, drills, vacuums and a variety of common hand and power tools and other equipment.
➢ Perform minor repairs on tools and related equipment, as needed
➢ Report to the General Manager on organizational plans and performance regarding set targets and
productivity
➢ Comply with set Standard Operating Procedures as directed by management
➢ Assist in the improving of set SOP’S to ensure that the organization performs well with set systems
Qualifications and Experience
BSc in Agriculture or relevant field in Pest and Disease control
➢ 3 years’ experience in a related position
➢ Good working knowledge of Zimbabwean pest life cycles, hosts, distribution and management alternatives
➢ Ability to supervise the work of others.
