Job Description

Procurement and Logistics Officer: CeSHHAR Zimbabwe (Re-advertisement)

Duty Station: Harare
CeSHHAR Zimbabwe is an organization that specializes in sexual health, HIV and AIDS research in Zimbabwe. CeSHHAR in collaboration with the MOHCC and NAC is implementing a National Sex Work Programme aimed at reducing HIV acquisition and transmission among female, male and transgender sex workers thereby reducing HIV transmission and acquisition to and from their clients. Low consistent condom use, risk of drug use and increasing transactional sex are some of the common reasons that put these key populations at risk of acquiring STI and HIV infection. Therefore, reaching these populations and increasing awareness and access to STI & HIV prevention, testing and treatment services are fundamental to reducing transmission of STI and HIV infections.

Duties and Responsibilities

Job description
Under the overall supervision of the Finance and Administration, the Procurement and Logistics Officer will be responsible for the following tasks: Maintenance of a fixed asset register; Ensure that all assets are tagged, and the asset numbers are written on the Goods received vouchers; Update the physical assets register; Advise on an any assets that need to be repaired; Ensure that all assets have insurance cover. Source quotations in a timely manner; Assist in updating the approved suppliers list; Oversee the procurement order management; Ensure that orders are processed in good time; Responsible for rebate applications; Manage storage of all inventories received and site distributions; Maintain inventory movement sheets file. Allocation of vehicle to drivers; Receive and filing of vehicle log sheets; General inspection of CeSHHAR vehicles and hired vehicles; Monitor the vehicle tracker reports to ensure compliance by the drivers; Allocation of vehicle to drivers; Receive and filing of vehicle log sheets; General inspection of CeSHHAR vehicles and hired vehicles; Monitor the vehicle tracker reports to ensure compliance by the drivers. Liaison with FEDEX where there are goods to be transferred to sites; Complete a FEDEX transfer form you send to Site Managers to ensure that all goods sent have been received; Record all items received from sites and deliver to the respective people to sign.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications
University degree in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management or a related field from an accredited academic institution with 3 years relevant professional experience preferably in the Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) sector. Full Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) qualification is an added advantage. Possession of a clean Class 4 Driving Licence and Defensive Driving Licence is essential.
