The position exists to assist and ensure an efficient and effective workflow of the Procurement Management
JOB TITLE : Procurement Clerk (B5 x1)
REPORTING TO: Procurement Officer
LOCATION : Head Office
To prepare and publish standard bidding documents using eGP system
To review procurement requests from user departments
To select the appropriate procurement method for the requirement
To open tenders' proposals for invited bidders To assist in the preparation of contract management and administration
To place proposal adverts in the Government Gazette, and national newspapers
To participate in the development of the organisation's supplier database
To coordinate and conduct suppliers' performance evaluations
To produce periodic procurement reports and returns
To ensure transparency, equity and fairness in the procurement life cycle
To ensure the organisation obtains best value for procured products and services
Professional Qualifications:
• At least a degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management
• CIPS diploma qualification is an added advantage
• Knowledge in any of the systems ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 is an added advantage
• Clean class 4 driver's licence
Procurement Experience:
• At least 2 years post- working experience in similar position
• Working knowledge of Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act (Chapter 22:23)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and any procurement software
