JOB TITLE: Procurement Clerk X 1
JOB TYPE: FIXED TERM CONTRACT
JOB SUMMARY
A detail-oriented, thorough, and organised Procurement clerk to assist the Procurement Officer in Handling of hospital purchases. In this position, the incumbent will play a key role in the hospital by following procurement procedures as guided by the CURE Procurement and Inventory Manual.

Duties and Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 The incumbent will assist the Procurement Officer in doing the following:
 Receive purchase requests from all the hospital departments.
 Logging the purchase requests in order of priority.
 Liaising with approved suppliers to get quotations for goods requested by departments.
 Quality verification for goods quoted by suppliers
 Create purchase orders for selected supplier quotations.
 Submit purchase orders to HODs and other approvers before placing the orders with suppliers
 Communicate approved orders with suppliers.
 Follow-up on placed orders to ensure timely delivery of the correct quantities and quality ordered.
 Liaise with the Stores Officer for planning of orders based on reorder quantities.
 Liaise with user departments for feedback on quality of purchases.
 Assessing of new suppliers before requesting them to be added to the preferred supplier list

Qualifications and Experience

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
 Minimum 5 “O” Levels. A related business diploma advantageous
 Experience in a similar position is an added advantage.
 Good computer skills.
 Strong communication and negotiation skills.
 Unquestionable integrity.
