Job Description
You’ll be in charge of making key decisions throughout the buying process and Working very closely with the suppliers to ensure the right and most affordable products are selected.
Duties and Responsibilities
Selecting new products and reviewing the old
Finding the right suppliers
Negotiating prices and rates
Ensuring the products are delivered on time
Pitching ideas to senior management
Stock control
Budgeting
Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers while seeking new ones
Attending trade events
Maintain purchase records and other important data
Develop plans for purchasing services, and supplies
Ensure that the products and supplies meet quality standards
Making orders
Qualifications and Experience
Degree in Purchasing and Supply or relevant program
Clean class 4 or 2 drivers license
Experience working with large organizations
Aggressive and firm person
Multi-linguist (English, Ndebele and Shona)
Based in Bulawayo (Any applicant based outside Bulawayo will not be considered)
Must be of Mature age
