Job Description

Responsible for the day to day running and delivering of multiple projects on several roles, including product strategist, product owner, market analyst, customer liaison, and project manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Identifies and develops project requirements to establish project deliverables, using techniques (e.g. planning sessions, brainstorming, and focus groups) and the project charter.
• Creates Project Roadmap.
• Keeps Project in line with business goals.
• Help the team understand and maintain vision is by creating a product roadmap.
• Prioritizes project needs; considers needs and objectives of the stakeholders.
• Maps out project dependencies to inform the necessary sequence of development.
• Develops Project Management Plan that guides the implementation of the projects.
• Creates list of backlog items and prioritize them based on the overall strategy and business objectives.
• Manages product backlog.
• Develops in alignment with the business objectives; schedule and cost plans that will baseline the project and allow monitoring and control of these costs.
• Develops procurements plans in consultation with the procurement and stores department.
• Develops project quality plan to guide in quality assurance and quality control.
• Develops human resource plan in consultation with functional line managers.
• Identifies high level risks, assumptions and constraints using historical data and expert judgment and develop Risk Management Plan.
• Contributes to planning, prioritization, execution and review of each sprint.
• Delivers clear instructions to developers.
• Manages stakeholder expectations through establishing, maintaining, constructive and cooperative working relationships with high level stakeholders.
• Understand and anticipate client needs to manage development process.

Qualifications and Experience

A first degree in IT, Project Management, Business Studies, Engineering, or any related field
Project management qualification OR certification (PMP, PRINCE2, AGILE Projects)
At least 3 years’ experience in managing IT Projects
Proven experience in product management
Strong leadership and people management skills
At least 1 year experience managing at least 1 medium sized project (Budget of US250,000 or above)
Proven working experience in project management
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
