Job Description
Zimasco (Pvt) Limited, a major player in Zimbabwe’s Ferrochrome Production sector, has some exciting and challenging career opportunities at its Shurugwi & South Dyke Mining Division.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified, competent and experienced individuals to fill the vacant posts in the Division on Fixed-Term employment contract basis, renewable subject to performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting work-shift problems, incidences and production in real time.
Continuous inspection of the plant (s) to identify ore/slimes loses, and ensure that production and SHE targets are met.
Ensuring collection of gold ore samples and their delivery to the laboratory for analysis.
Account for gold ore dispatches and receipts at the mine/plant.
Ensuring security of company resources.
Supervising and monitoring all gold mining operations.
Qualifications and Experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
At least 5 Ordinary level passes including Mathematics and English.
Diploma in Mining or Equivalent from a reputable tertiary institution is an added advantage.
Mine Blasting License and a qualification in quality control is an added advantage.
At least 3 years post qualification experience in a Mining or Mineral processing environment.
Mining project management knowledge and experience is essential.
Extensive knowledge in CIL (Carbon In Leach) plants.
Sound knowledge of mineral resource management systems.
Good working knowledge of an ERP system, preferably SAP.
Working knowledge of safety management systems, preferably with exposure to the NOSA SHE system.
Holder of a clean Class 4 driver’s licence.
