Applications are invited for the Quality Control Technician position within Baker's Inn Manufacturing - Northern Region, Harare.

Duties and Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be required to take full charge of all key responsibilities that include but are not limited to the following:
• Coordinate all activities related to product quality and food safety management.
• Conduct raw material, packaging material, and finished product evaluations and testing.
• Monitor production processes and verify compliance with quality standards.
• Implement and maintain PRPs and Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS).
• Record and report quality inspections, test results, deviations, and corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in quality and food safety systems.
• Ensure laboratory and quality equipment are calibrated and maintained.
• Support internal audits and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate should be in possession of the following minimum qualifications:
• BSc Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related quality discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within the food manufacturing industry.
• Experience in the baking industry will be an added advantage.
• Working knowledge of Food Safety Management Systems and prerequisite programmes.
• Understanding of SLAs, COAs, and COCs.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
