Job Description

The National Biotechnology Authority is seeking a skilled and personable Receptionist to manage our front desk. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and multitasking skills, a professional demeanor and the ability to handle a variety of administrative tasks. As the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, the incumbent will play a vital role in creating a positive first impression of the Authority. Duties and Responsibilities

• Greeting clients and visitors: Welcoming and directing visitors, clients, or customers.
• Answering phone calls: Responding to incoming calls, taking messages and forwarding calls to relevant personnel.
• Managing mail and packages: Receiving, sorting, and distributing mail and packages.
• Maintaining Records: Keeping accurate records of visitor logs and phone calls.
• Responding to inquiries: Providing information, answering questions and resolving issues for clients or customers.
• Maintaining the reception area, ensuring it is clean, organized and presentable.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven certification in secretarial studies, office administration, or related training.
• 1-2 years of experience as a receptionist in a busy office setup is an added advantage.
• Ability to manage internal and external correspondence.
• Proficiency in appointment scheduling software such as MS Outlook as well as call forwarding.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
