Job Summary
Knightvalley is searching for a Registered General Nurse to provide nursing services to patients in line with Knightvalley policies, procedures and professional standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Acting as a patient advocate following Specialists' patient treatment plan.
• Establishing a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.
• Establishing patient care goals, giving patient independence and advocacy throughout duration of clinical care.
• Teaching patients, friends and family to understand conditions, medications and self-care skills.
• Recording all necessary patient vitals at prescribed intervals as ordered by the Specialist.
• Administers patient treatment as prescribed by the Specialists.
• Maintaining safe and clean working environment by complying with nursing procedures, rules and regulations.
• Ensuring medication is adequate and stored in a timely manner.
• Ensuring all necessary bed patient restrainers are in place for unstable restless patients.
• Maintaining clear, accurate and concise patient records whether hard copy or via the IT patient management system.
Qualifications
• Diploma in Nursing.
• Post Basic qualification (Mental Health Diploma).
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Mental Health Institution.
Key Competencies
The ideal candidate should possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills, along with the capability to plan and organize according to job requirements. They must be able to analyze and resolve work-related issues to achieve desired outcomes.
Additionally, the candidate should be skilled in interacting and negotiating (when necessary to meet targets.
