Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the following post:

REGULATORY SERVICES DEPARTMENT

JOB TITLE: Regulatory Services Manager reporting to the Registrar

12 months contract renewable

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develops registration and renewal strategies and Standard Operating Procedures
(SOPs)
• Plans, monitors and implements the registration and renewal strategies and SOPs
through the Registration Supervisor
• Responsible for database, website and education committee regulations
• Maintains an accurate database of practitioners and institutions at all times
• Recommends and implements modern data management approaches
• Supervises subordinates and carries spot checks of business systems flow
• Coordinates with the Education Committee Administrative Assistant on registration
requirements and regulations
• Follows up on internships, training CPD points
• Overseas research conferences and webinars led by education committees
• Facilitates the process of Board Examination
• Develops inspection strategies
• Conduct compliance inspections to assess fitness to practice.
• Promote the Health Professions Act highlighting the statutory role of the Allied Health
Practitioners Council.
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures and its related activities to prevent
illegal, unethical and improper conduct by AHPCZ practitioners.
• Identifying potential areas of compliance vulnerabilities and suggesting corrective
action plans
• Monitoring the performance of the Compliance Program and suggesting appropriate
steps to improve its effectiveness.
• Lead external communications in order to build the profile of Allied Health Council with
partner organisations
• Conducts physical inspections and enforces compliance
• Develops Marketing and Public Relations strategies for AHPCZ
• Monitors and evaluates implementation of the strategies
• Sets performance targets for subordinates
• Evaluates performance of subordinates
• Any other duties as assigned by the Registrar

Qualifications and Experience

• Business Studies/Management degree majors in Marketing, Business Law,
Operations management
• At least 5 years of working experience in a similar position
• Excellent customer service skills, agility, innovativeness and proactiveness required
• Excellent knowledge of databases
• Leadership skills a must
• Good command of English both oral and written
• Good listening skills
• Great attention to detail, Excellent Communication internal and external
