VACANCY
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following vacant position which has arisen within the Municipality of Kariba.
ROADS SUPERVISOR x 1
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
* Implementation of road maintenance programmes (routine and periodic).
* Leading day-to-day maintenance activities in adherence to specifications, standards and by-laws.
* Carry out roads condition survey.
* Designs (minor) works on storm drains and roads for Council.
* Supervise maintenance teams: Oversee and direct maintenance teams, ensuring work is completed efficiently and effectively. Keeping diary of all roadwork activities and production of weekly reports.
Qualifications and Experience
Requirements
* At least 5 O’ Level passes.
* Certificate in Civil Engineering or Construction-related qualification.
* Clean Class 2 Driver’s Licence.
* Defensive Driving Certificate is an added advantage.
* At least 3 years’ experience in road maintenance works is a requirement.
* Age 27 years and above.
