Job Description

A vibrant Microfinance Institution is looking for an experienced, detail oriented and results-driven Sales and Marketing Officer to join our growing institution. The main purpose of the position is to assist in driving the growth of Vision Plus Wealth customer base and market share through the acquisition of new business and clientele from new and existing products, markets and channels.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Promoting brand VPW, products or services in a way that elevates the brand as a whole.
• Sell VPW loan products across the country’s 10 provinces.
• Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with existing and potential clients.
• Identifying emerging markets with business opportunities that align with the company's goals.
• Contribute in the implementation of marketing strategies.
• Organize and attend marketing activities or events to raise brand awareness.
• Plan advertising and promotional campaigns for products or services.
• Collaborate with managers in preparing budgets and monitoring expenses.
• Spearheading product development to meet customer needs.
• Preparation of sales targets and reports for management.
• Creates development plans, market strategies, forecasting sales targets and growth projections.
• Conducting market research and identifying opportunities through meetings, networking and other channels.
• Develop insights from trend analysis reports, recommend ideas and annual roll out plans for inclusion in the business.
• Produce product uptake performance reports weekly and recommend interventions where necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing / a diploma in a relevant field.
• At least 3 years of proven working experience in Sales & Marketing.
• Solid knowledge of Marketing techniques and principles.
• Strong background in the banking or microfinance industry.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, in order to express technical and non-technical
concepts clearly and concisely.
• Technical skills required to create proposals and formulate solutions to meet client requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and observation. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Be proactive, organized and can handle the pressure that comes with the job.
• Tech-savvy, team player and innovative.
• Well- groomed individuals with exceptional conduct and etiquette.
• A clean class 4 driver’s license.
