Job Description
A group of School based in Harare is seeking responsible and safety-conscious School Bus Drivers to join our transport team. The ideal candidates will ensure the safe and timely transportation of students to and from school, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Operate the school bus along designated routes with punctuality and care
• Ensure student safety and enforce school transport rules
• Maintain accurate records of routes, schedules and incidents
• Maintain a clean and mechanically sound vehicle all times
• Maintain a religious service schedule to avoid mechanical issues
• Perform inspections of the bus before and after each route
• Assist students with getting on and off the bus when required
• Build rapport with both students, staff and parents
• To be personable and presentable to all stakeholders
Qualifications and Experience
• Valid Class 1 or equivalent driver’s license with a valid Defensive Driving Certificate
• Clean driving record and proven experience in school or public transport
• A valid health certificate from a recognized institution
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to child safety
• Must pass background and medical checks
