Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following posts that have arisen in the University:
DEPARTMENT OF STUDENT AFFAIRS
Duties and Responsibilities
Meal planning, costing and coordinating Canteen activities to meet meal schedules.
Prepare and/or supervise the preparation of well-balanced and nutritious meals including special diet meals.
Monitor adherence to procedures for ordering, purchasing, receiving, storing and issuing of food items.
Monitor food supplies and maintenance of inventory for food items, utensils and equipment.
Monitor adherence to food hygiene, health and safety guidelines.
Facilitate on-the-job training for junior staff.
Scheduling shifts and supervision of junior staff.
Any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must have a Certificate in Catering or equivalent and at least 5 Ordinary
Level passes including English Language. Applicants should have at least 5 years’ relevant experience, be mature, well-groomed and hygiene conscious.
Possession of a Diploma in Catering or equivalent is an added advantage.
