Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen in a leading POS IT company for the position of a Senior Technical Engineer. The position's primary focus would be in the area of support on Microsoft D365 Business Central, MS Windows Server, MS SQL, and other software packages related to the retail environment which the company services.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Taking ownership of customer issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution
• Researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and identifying solutions to resolve system issues
• Following standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams
• Talk to clients through a series of actions, either via phone, email, or chat, until they’ve solved a technical issue
• Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g., software developers)
• Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers
• Refer to internal database or external resources to provide accurate tech solutions
• Ensure all issues are properly logged
• Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
• Follow up with clients to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting
• Knowledge of MS SQL, and Windows server environments.
• Ability to work in a project implementation team
• Experience with project implementation strategies such as Waterfall and Agile
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal person must possess the following:
• Degree in Computer Science, IT, MS Dynamics Certifications, Microsoft SQL Server
• Microsoft Certifications on D365 and database environments.
• Experience with MS Dynamics 365, Active Directory or similar retail ERP solutions
• Ability to work under pressure & minimum supervision
