Job Description
A Senior Waiter in a hotel is an experienced food and beverage professional who serves guests, supervises junior waiters, and helps ensure excellent customer service in the hotel restaurant, bar, or banquet department.
Duties and Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and present menus professionally.
• Take food and beverage orders and ensure accurate service.
• Supervise and guide junior waiters and waitresses.
• Coordinate with chefs, bartenders, and kitchen staff.
• Ensure tables are properly set and dining areas remain clean.
• Handle guest complaints politely and resolve service issues.
• Check food quality, presentation, and service standards.
• Assist with staff training and shift coordination.
• Follow hotel hygiene, health, and safety procedures.
• Support the restaurant or food and beverage supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications and skills
• Previous experience as a waiter, preferably in a hotel.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of food menus, beverages, and table service.
• Leadership and teamwork abilities.
• Professional appearance and attention to detail.
• Food safety and hygiene knowledge.
• Relevant hospitality training is an advantage.
