Job Description
Mother Touch Senior School in Selous is seeking a qualified and passionate Sports Coach who can lead training in various disciplines and also serve as a qualified secondary school teacher in any subject. The ideal candidate should be teacher-trained, experienced in coaching different sports, and committed to both academic and physical development of students.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct training sessions for multiple sports disciplines.
- Develop structured fitness programs to enhance student performance.
- Teach sportsmanship, teamwork, and discipline.
- Organize tournaments, competitions, and school sporting events.
- Maintain sports equipment and facilities, ensuring safety and usability.
- Mentor students on leadership and personal development through sports.
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons in the assigned subject.
- Prepare and implement lesson plans following curriculum guidelines.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Utilize modern teaching methods, including technology integration.
- Encourage critical thinking and problem-solving among students.
- Maintain a structured and disciplined classroom environment.
- Support students in their academic and extracurricular pursuits.
Qualifications and Experience
- Equivalent Degree or Diploma qualification.
- Certified sports coaching qualification in one or more disciplines.
- Strong understanding of training techniques, fitness development, and sports management.
- Proven ability to develop and implement structured sports programs.
- Knowledge of tournament organization, team management, and coaching methodologies
- Degree or Diploma in Education (specializing in any secondary school subject).
- Familiarity with modern teaching methods and classroom management.
- Ability to balance academic responsibilities with sports coaching duties.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for mentoring students
