Job Description

1 x STORES CLERK

Mutare-based leading manufacturers and distributors in FMCG seek a qualified and experienced Stores Clerk to provide clerical support to the Supply Chain Department.

Job Purpose

To receive, store, issue, and account for raw materials, spares, and consumables, in line with company procedures and SHEQ standards, ensuring accurate inventory and uninterrupted operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Procurement Specialist, the successful candidate will, among other duties, be responsible for:

❖ Receiving and verification of deliveries against purchase orders; raising GRVs, capturing into the ERP, and flagging discrepancies.
❖ Safe storage, binning, and labelling of stock by category and hazard class; enforcing FIFO/FEFO and segregation rules.
❖ Issuing materials against approved requisitions/job cards and updating stock records in real time.
❖ Conducting daily cycle counts and participating in monthly/quarterly stock takes; investigating and resolving variances.
❖ Preparing and maintaining documents: GRV, MRN, SIV/issue notes, RTV, delivery notes, and transfer records.
❖ Compiling and submitting daily, weekly, and monthly stock movement and variance reports.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications, Experience and Personal Attributes

❖ Education: At least 5 O’ Levels including Mathematics and English.
❖ Post-School Qualification: Certificate/Diploma in Stores Management, Supply Chain, Purchasing & Supply or equivalent.
❖ Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in a stores role within FMCG/manufacturing.
❖ Systems: Proficiency with an ERP (e.g., SAP/Pastel/Prism) and MS Excel (basic to intermediate).
