Job Description

Continuous identification of cost efficient and effective suppliers and making bulk acquisitions.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Monitoring inventory levels across the regions in consultation with the respective Stores Controllers
2. Maintain required quantity of material supplies to optimize production
3. Continuously searching for alternative suppliers guided by better quality and cost efficiency and effectiveness
4. Developing and implementing strategies for procuring, storing and distributing goods or services and maintaining stock levels for all regions.
5. Developing, Implementing and monitoring the companies purchasing and stores policies or procedures for all regions
6. Ensures that all supply chain activities comply with the organization’s Safety, health, environment and quality policy.
7. Coordinate regional warehouses to enable resource sharing and improve inventory management.
8. Expedite orders to ensure that all purchased items are received on time
9. Provide weekly and monthly reports on all open purchase orders and goods in transit
10. Negotiates prices for raw material and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management/ purchasing and supply/ Chartered institute of purchasing and supply (CIPS).
