Qualifications and Experience
๐๐ก๐ ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฐ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ข๐ง๐๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ฆ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ ๐๐ ๐จ๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ:
1. If you have a degree in Accounting, Banking & Finance, full ACCA or full CIS, and less that 7 years accounting experience, you will get 8 exemptions from CIMA for free, and only write 8 exams to complete the CIMA qualification. It will take you 8 months to finish.
2. If you have a degree in Accounting, Banking & Finance, full ACCA or full CIS and more than 7 years accounting experience, you will get 11 exemptions from CIMA for free, and only write 5 exams to complete the CIMA qualification. It will take you 8 months to finish.
3. If you have a masters degree in accounting, you will get 11 exemptions from CIMA for free, and only write 5 exams to complete the CIMA qualification. It will take you 8 months to finish.
4. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe (ICAZ) has entered into a memorandum of understanding with CIMA where if you are a CIMA member in good standing and want to become a CA(Z), you will get exempted from the CTA and ITC levels. All you will need to do is write one exam, the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC)and apply for CA(Z) status!
5. There is no requirement for you to do any Articles if you are a CIMA member.
6. Lectures will be done Saturdays from 1200hrs to 1700hrs and Sundays from 0900hrs to 1130hrs, which gives you flexibility.
