Job Description
National Cranes & Equipment is looking for an efficient and highly organized Transport & Logistics assistant to oversee the coordination of heavy equipment and fleet movement. The ideal candidate must have experience in managing transport logistics within the construction or equipment rental industry and a solid understanding of route planning, tracking systems, and vehicle dispatch operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate movement of cranes, trucks, and support vehicles.
Schedule and monitor daily dispatches, ensuring timely delivery and return.
Supervise drivers and track fleet performance using GPS and fleet software.
Maintain transport records, trip sheets, fuel usage logs, and related documentation.
Liaise with workshop team for servicing schedules and urgent repairs.
Ensure compliance with transport regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Support hiring out of transport services to clients, including costing and route optimization.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum 3 years’ experience in transport/logistics coordination, preferably with heavy equipment.
Diploma or certificate in Transport & Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
Sound knowledge of vehicle tracking systems and logistics software.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Clean class 4 or above driver’s licence (Class 2 is an added advantage).
Ability to manage time-sensitive dispatch operations and emergencies.
How to Apply
