Dalkeith Engineering is inviting suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the position of Transport and Logistics Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective management of the company’s internal fleet and transport operations. Candidate will be reporting to the Business Development Manager
Manage and coordinate internal fleet operations
Ensure efficient scheduling and utilization of company vehicles
Oversee vehicle maintenance, servicing, licensing, and insurance
Maintain accurate fleet records including fuel usage, mileage, and service history
Monitor fuel consumption and control transport-related costs
Ensure compliance with fleet policies, safety standards, and traffic regulations
Coordinate repairs and liaise with service providers and suppliers
Investigate and report vehicle accidents, incidents, or breakdowns
Support logistics planning for deliveries, collections, and internal movements
Prepare and submit fleet and transport performance reports
Diploma in Transport & Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
Experience in the motor vehicle industry will be a distinct advantage
Valid Class 2 Driver’s License
Defensive Driving Certificate will be an added advantage
