Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

The role – What we expect from you:

Assess the value of properties for the granting of bonds to clients.
Assess the value additions to residential properties.
Assess the condition of properties for insurance purposes and make sure that the groups’ interest is adequately covered against loss or damage
Monitor construction of project under a building finance facility to ensure that there is compliance to local authority’s building by-laws and avoid demolition and loss of Bank’s funds

Evaluate the net worth of housing schemes from submitted plans.
Research on property market trends and recommend safe and attractive investments for the bank.
Recommend effective ways to make sure that there is 100% revenue collection from services provided to other units within the group
Attend local authorities’ as delegated.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications, Skills & Experience required:

Holder of a degree in Real Estate Management, Rural, and Urban Planning, or similar from a recognized and reputable tertiary institution.
Should be a registered professional member of the Valuers Council of Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe Institute of Rural and Urban Planners (ZIRUP), and Real Estate Institute of Zimbabwe (REIZ).
Have at least 3 years of relevant experience in Real Estate, Rural, and Urban Planning, or similar environments. Possess strong knowledge of land and property valuations, Real Estate Development, Property Economics, and Finance.
Possess comprehensive understanding and applied knowledge of building by-laws and related legislation.
Should be highly computer literate with solid skills in Excel, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), and GIS systems.
Have demonstrable communication skills and the ability to relate at all levels.
