Job Description

We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Visual Content Specialist to manage all visual assets for our auction house and real estate operations. This dynamic role requires a blend of exceptional photography skills for capturing properties and auction items, and strong graphic design capabilities for creating compelling marketing materials. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, technically proficient, and has a keen eye for aesthetics in both print and digital media.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Roles and Responsibilities
Photography
• Property and Item Photography: Execute high-quality, professional photography of real estate listings (interiors, exteriors, drone shots where applicable) and diverse auction items (art, antiques, collectibles, vehicles, etc.).
• Post-Production: Perform detailed photo editing, retouching, color correction, and cropping to ensure all images meet high editorial and company standards.
• Asset Management: Organize, tag, and manage a growing library of visual assets for easy retrieval and use across all platforms.
• Equipment Management: Maintain all photography equipment, ensuring it is in excellent working condition.
Graphic Design & Marketing Support
• Marketing Collateral: Design and produce a range of print and digital marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, direct mail pieces, event invitations, and advertisements.
• Digital Content: Create engaging graphics for all digital channels, including website banners, email newsletters, and social media content (including templates for various platforms).
• Branding Consistency: Ensure all visual output adheres strictly to the company's brand guidelines and tone across all platforms.
• Auction Catalogs: Assist in the layout and design of high-end auction catalogs (both print and digital versions).

Qualifications and Experience

Required Skills
• Expert-level Photography: Proven ability to shoot in various lighting conditions (especially interior real estate and detailed studio/product shots) and a strong understanding of composition.
• Software Proficiency: Expert command of the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
• Graphic Design Principles: Strong foundation in design theory, including typography, color management, layout, and visual hierarchy.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with camera gear (DSLR/Mirrorless), lenses, lighting equipment, and drone photography best practices.
• Organizational Skills: Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with marketing, sales, and operations teams.
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience in a similar role, ideally within the real estate, auction, luxury goods, or publishing industries.
• Portfolio: A comprehensive and compelling professional portfolio showcasing both photography work (especially real estate/product) and diverse graphic design projects is mandatory.
• Driver's License: A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential, as this role requires frequent travel to property locations and auction sites.
