A company in the construction Industry is looking for a suitably qualified person to fill the position of:-
1. Workshop Foreman
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Manages and coordinates all service-related activities of the workshop to ensure a high level of service for the company’s fleet.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Utilize extensive knowledge of earthmoving machines and equipment to effectively manage the workshop operations.
• Plan and coordinate with artisans to ensure efficient allocation of resources and timely completion of projects.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of artisans, providing guidance and training as needed.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of machines, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize workflow and improve productivity.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate project requirements and timelines.
• Manage inventory and ensure the availability of necessary tools and materials for workshop operations.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and address any issues promptly.
• Provide technical expertise and support to artisans, troubleshooting problems as they arise.
Qualifications and Experience:
Qualifications and experience
• Class 1 certificate in Diesel plant fitting
• Sound Knowledge of CAT ET and SIS2.0
• Good planning and organizational skills
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Medically fit for work.
• Current mine foreman certification
• Proven experience as a mine foreman.
• Working knowledge/experience of construction/mining site safety, truck maintenance, and road safety regulations.
• minimum of 5years experience
