Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Workshop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our service workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient workflow, high productivity, adherence to manufacturer standards, and exceptional customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and control all workshop operations to ensure optimal productivity, efficiency, and profitability
• Ensure compliance with Toyota / manufacturer standards and operating procedures
• Monitor and drive technician productivity, efficiency, and utilisation
• Oversee job card control, WIP (Work In Progress), and turnaround times
• Ensure high-quality workmanship and strict adherence to quality control processes
• Manage workshop staff performance, discipline, training. and development
• Liaise with Service Advisors and Parts Department to ensure smooth workflow
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and company policies
• Handle customer escalations and ensure resolution in line with company standards
• Monitor workshop financial performance, including labour sales and cost control
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Requirements:
• Diploma/Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (advantageous)
• Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in a dealership workshop environment
• At least 3 years in a supervisory or management role
• Strong knowledge of Toyota systems, processes, a standards (advantageous
• Proven leadership and people management skills
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
• Computer literacy (Dealer Management Systems experience preferred)
