Job Description

Our client in the Motor Industry is looking for a workshop supervisor to join the group. The workshop supervisor responsible for the management of workshop staff, and ensuring all matters relating to mechanical services are achieved. The supervisor is also expected to to be hands on whenever need be.

Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure full and accurate communication to workshop, parts, reception, and quality control.
Plan and oversee all aspects of the day to day running of an allocated workshop or workshop area.
Inspect sites regularly to identify problems and necessary maintenance.
Prepare weekly schedules and allocate work as per forecasted workloads.
Oversee all repairs and ensure that work is completed on time.
Maintain all inventory and equipment, and ensure proper storage.
Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices on site.
Conduct follow-ups on all workshop jobs and repair work.
Conduct safety inspections as scheduled.
Establish strategies to meet workload demands on time.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelors degree (highly advantageous).
2 years of experience as a workshop supervisor (essential).
Knowledge and skill as a spray painter and panel beater.
Effective budgeting and performance management.
Fantastic organizational and leadership skills.
Great eye for detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
Computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related communication tools.
Great time management skills.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
