Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill in the position of Accounts Clerk Expenditure
that has arisen in our organisation.
Reporting to the Accountant, the successful candidate among other duties will be responsible for the following:-
Duties and Responsibilities
Updating all creditors ledgers with new GRVs and invoices received
Reconciliation of creditors ledgers, bank statements and cash transactions
Maintaining up to date electronic records through pastel accounting system in respect of all expenditures
Constantly liaising with creditors to ensure that payments are done timeously
Attending to Internal and External Audit queries
Conducting stock take for the Institute’s Inventories
Data capturing and filing of accounting information
Assisting in submission of tax returns and solving tax issues
Compilation of Payment Vouchers
Assisting the Accountant in preparation of monthly financial reports
Perform any other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor
Qualifications and Experience
At least a National Diploma in Accounting/SAAA
A Degree in Accounting will be an added advantage
At least one year relevant experience
Knowledge and experience of Pastel accounting system an added advantage
