Gala-way Management Services has been retained by one of its clients –a local FMCG company, to recruit and select a suitable candidate for the position of an Area Sales Manager for Mashonaland West area.
Main Duties
Develop efficient and creative sales and marketing strategies for the assigned territory and target setting for the sales team
Manage, monitor and motivate existing sales team to reach targets and ultimately drive revenue growth
Develop and manage efficient distribution networks for sales
Collect customer and market feedback and reporting the same to the organization
Monitor sales team performance, analyse sales data, periodical forecasting and reporting to zonal heads
Mentor, motivate and guide team members ensuring sales – business generation and achieving budgeted figures, and activity ratio on monthly basis
Achieve primary and secondary target of the area
Plan and forecast monthly sales, taking into account the shelf life of the product
Channel and Cost Management
Data and aligning with the Annual Operating Plan
Track competition, making proactive plans to counter the new entrants
Allocate manpower in different areas depending upon the individual capabilities
Train subordinates to develop requisite skills; conducting trainings on products, selling skills, lead prospecting and closing skills
Qualifications
A Degree in Sales or Marketing preferred
At least 5 years working experience preferably within the FMCG industry.
Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational abilities
Exceptional relationship management and interpersonal skill
