The Assistant Production Supervisor will support the Production Supervisor in managing day-to-day production activities, ensuring that production targets, quality standards, safety requirements and operational procedures are achieved.
• Assist in supervising daily production activities and ensuring production targets are achieved.
• Assist with the production of PP woven bags in accordance with required specifications and quality standards.
• Monitor PP woven bag printing operations, ensuring correct colours, designs, print quality and registration.
• Assist in operating, monitoring and adjusting production and printing machinery.
• Monitor machine performance and promptly identify operational problems.
• Carry out basic machine troubleshooting and general maintenance.
• Assist with preventive maintenance of production and printing machinery.
• Report major mechanical and electrical faults to the Production Supervisor or Maintenance team.
• Monitor production processes to minimise downtime, waste and rejected products.
• Conduct routine quality checks during production and printing.
• Ensure correct handling and utilisation of raw materials.
• Assist with production planning, work allocation and deployment of production employees.
• Maintain accurate production, machine and downtime records.
• Ensure production areas and machinery are kept clean, organised and safe.
• Ensure employees comply with company procedures, health and safety requirements and production standards.
• Assist in training and guiding production employees on correct operating procedures.
• Support investigations into production problems and implementation of corrective actions.
• Work closely with the Production, Quality Control, Stores and Maintenance teams.
• Perform any other production-related duties assigned by management.
• At least a Diploma in Production Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 2–3 years' relevant experience in PP woven bag manufacturing.
• Practical experience in PP woven bag printing is essential.
• Hands-on experience in general machine maintenance, troubleshooting and fault identification.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Knowledge of production processes, quality control and workplace health and safety.
• Ability to work shifts and under pressure to meet production deadlines.
