The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day production operations, ensuring that PP woven bags are manufactured and printed efficiently, safely and to the required quality standards. The successful candidate must have strong practical experience in PP woven bag production, printing processes and general machine maintenance.
• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to achieve production targets.
• Oversee the production of PP woven bags, ensuring adherence to production specifications and quality standards.
• Supervise and monitor bag printing operations, ensuring correct colours, designs, registration and print quality.
• Plan production schedules and allocate manpower, machinery and materials effectively.
• Monitor machine performance and ensure minimal production downtime.
• Conduct basic troubleshooting and coordinate general machine maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure routine preventive maintenance is carried out on production and printing machinery.
• Identify mechanical and operational problems and escalate major faults to the relevant technical personnel.
• Monitor raw material usage and minimize waste and production losses.
• Conduct quality checks throughout the production process and ensure defective products are identified and controlled.
• Ensure production records, machine records and quality reports are accurately maintained.
• Supervise, train and motivate production employees to achieve required performance standards.
• Enforce company policies, production procedures, health and safety requirements and housekeeping standards.
• Ensure production areas and machinery are kept clean, safe and orderly.
• Investigate production problems and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Work closely with Stores, Quality Control, Maintenance and Management to ensure smooth production operations.
• Prepare and submit daily and periodic production reports.
• Ensure efficient utilisation of machinery, labour and other production resources.
• Diploma or Degree in Production Management, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3–5 years’ relevant experience in PP woven bag manufacturing.
• Proven practical experience in PP woven bag printing is essential.
• Hands-on experience in general machine maintenance, fault finding and troubleshooting.
• Experience supervising production teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of production processes, quality control and workplace health and safety.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
• Good leadership, communication, problem-solving and organisational skills.
