Dalkeith Engineering is seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join our busy workshop team.
Duties include
-Diagnose and repair complex electrical & electronic faults using advanced diagnostic equipment
-Repair/replace wiring harnesses, alternators, starter motors, sensors, ECUs, BCMs
-Program keys, reset immobilizers, calibrate ADAS systems, install accessories
-Maintain workshop electrical tools, test equipment and safety standards
-Complete job cards and report to Workshop Foreman
-Keep up to date with new automotive electrical technology
- Key Requirements:
-Journeyman Class One Certificate in Auto Electrical – mandatory
-Minimum 5 years proven experience as an auto electrician
-Experience working in a large workshop/garage environment
-Strong knowledge of modern vehicle electronics, CAN bus systems & modules
-Must be expert in using diagnostic machines, oscilloscopes, multimeters & related software
-At least 5 O’Levels including English and Maths
-Reliable, strong fault-finding skills, petrol & diesel vehicles, hybrid/EV experience an advantage, team player, works under pressure
