Job Description
Dalkeith Engineering is seeking an experienced Automotive Mechanic to join our busy workshop team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include:
1. Diagnose mechanical & electrical faults using diagnostic equipment
2. Service, repair and maintain light & heavy vehicles
3. Maintain workshop tools, equipment and safety standards
4. Complete job cards and report to Workshop Foreman
5. Keep up to date with new automotive technology
Qualifications and Experience
Key Requirements:
- Journeyman Class One Certificate in Motor Mechanics – mandatory
- Minimum 5 years proven experience as an auto mechanic
- Experience working in a large workshop/garage environment
- Strong knowledge of modern vehicle technologies and systems
- Must be able to use diagnostic machines and related computer software
- At least 5 O’Levels including English and Maths
- Reliable, strong fault-finding skills, petrol & diesel engines, team player, works under pressure
