Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced and self-motivated individuals who are prepared to work under pressure with minimum supervision to fill the following vacant posts that have arisen within Mazowe Rural District Council.
Position: Civil Technician
Reports To : Engineer
Grade : Nine (9)
Station: Head Office
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
Writing of project proposals
-
Planning and monitoring the implementation of projects
Sewer construction and maintenance
Water reticulation
-Supervise subordinates
-Preparation of cost estimates and bills quantities of proposed project
- Ordering of materials for proposed project
- Coordinate all Council projects including Development Partners and Government projects
- Liaise with other government agencies and Development Partners on issues pertaining to implementation of projects that affect the operations of that Ministry or agency.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications and Attributes:
- Degree in Civil Engineering an added advantage.
-Diploma in Civil Engineering
- 5 GCE "O" Levels including Mathematics and English Language.
- At least 30 years of age and should be Mature and able to work with very minimum supervision
- Clean Class 4 driver's licence
- At least 3 years post graduate working experience in Civil Engineering
- Clean service history in the Local Government fraternity and/or public sector.
- No criminal record
- Three (3) testimonial letters from current and previous employers.
