The Control Room Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily control room operations, coordinating the response to safety and security incidents, and ensuring that staff and equipment are ready to handle emergencies at all times.
·Supervising daily control room operations and ensuring all systems are functioning.
·Deploying control room staff or response crews to cover emergencies or incidents.
·Coordinating and directing the response to safety and security incidents.
·Reporting critical incidents promptly to management and all other relevant stakeholders.
·Preparing incident reports for review and documentation purposes.
·Developing, reviewing, and maintaining the control room's policies and procedures.
·Organizing daily shift activities and ensuring proper handovers between shifts.
·Maintaining a safe and secure work environment for all employees.
·Staying alert at all times and being prepared for any unexpected situation.
·Ensuring that both staff and equipment in the control room are ready to handle emergencies.
·Providing telephone support to the public, clients, or other employees as needed.
·Keeping the control room tidy and ensuring professional personal appearance.
·Performing additional duties as assigned during emergencies or crises.
Educational Requirements
·Minimum of 5 O-Level passes.
Professional Qualifications
·Certificate or Diploma in Security Management, Surveillance Systems, or a related field.
Experience
·At least three (3) to five (5) years' experience in a control room or security operations environment, including at least one to two years in a supervisory capacity.
Competencies and Skills
Technology Skills
·Proficient in operating and monitoring CCTV systems.
·Skilled in monitoring various alarm systems, including intrusion and fire alarms.
·Sound knowledge of modern security techniques and surveillance tools.
·Familiarity with the computer systems used within the control room environment.
·Understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS) and integration with security systems.
·Ability to troubleshoot minor system malfunctions and escalate issues when needed.
Communication Skills
·Able to communicate effectively with security staff, employees, management, and the general public.
·Competent in issuing and receiving clear, detailed instructions, both verbal and written.
·Attends security team meetings and provides briefings on incidents and updates.
·Capable of analyzing incidents and preparing staff to respond to potential future threats.
