Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill in the following vacancies that have arisen within Makoni Rural District Council.

CREDIT CONTROLLER (GRADE 8)

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

* Identifying changes in the socio-economic environment and proposing action to avert losses.
* Analysing debt and recommending appropriate action to management.
* Assisting in accounting activities including financial management, debt management and banking.
* Submitting reports to the Treasurer on debt management.
* Initiating legal proceedings where debts are not paid within the agreed timeframe.
* Reconciling debtors’ accounts and resolving debtor account queries.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications and Experience

* Minimum HND or Degree in Accounting or Finance.
* Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
* At least three (3) years’ relevant experience.
* Clean record of service.
* Knowledge of laws and regulations governing debt collection.
* Membership of a recognised professional body is an added advantage.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Clean Class 4 Driver’s Licence.
