Job Description
Mother Touch Group of Schools is inviting applications for a highly qualified ECD Teacher to join our Junior School in Harare. The role is ideal for passionate educators who can nurture young learners through play-based, inquiry-driven, and values-centred teaching, while integrating Christian ethos into daily learning.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver curriculum lessons aligned with both ZIMSEC and Cambridge.
- Integrate Christian values and biblical principles into daily teaching, modelling discipline, respect, and moral character.
- Apply 21st‑century pedagogy including play‑based learning, inquiry activities, digital tools, and collaborative methods to foster creativity and critical thinking.
- Conduct authentic assessments and provide differentiated instruction to support diverse learner needs, while engaging parents through regular communication.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, discipline, and holistic growth in young learners.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum Diploma/Degree in Early Childhood Development.
- Professional training in both ZIMSEC and Cambridge Early Years frameworks with proven ability to deliver dual curriculum.
- Strong grounding in play‑based pedagogy, inquiry learning, and authentic assessment methods.
- Experience integrating Christian values and biblical principles into classroom teaching.
- At least 5 years’ teaching experience in ECD or Junior School, with a track record of nurturing holistic child development.
- ICT literacy and familiarity with 21st‑century teaching tools (digital storytelling, blended learning, interactive platforms).
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and parent engagement skills.
