Job Description
We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Engineering Manager with a strong mechanical background to lead our engineering and maintenance departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving technical excellence, overseeing complex capital projects, and ensuring high plant availability within our heavy manufacturing operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Align engineering goals with organizational production targets to ensure sustainable growth.
• Oversee the maintenance and reliability of heavy machinery, hydraulics, and automated systems.
• Lead the planning and execution of large-scale industrial projects from design through to commissioning.
• Direct and mentor a diverse team of engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of accountability and safety.
• Manage the engineering budget, focusing on cost optimization and efficient spare parts management.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience within a heavy manufacturing environment.
• At least 5 years of experience at a managerial level with a proven track record of managing departmental budgets and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong proficiency in mechanical systems, preventative maintenance strategies (TPM/RCM), and industrial safety standards.
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges in a high-pressure environment.
