Job Description
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN (Grade 8)
Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced and task-oriented persons to fill the above-mentioned position.
Reporting to: Environmental Health Officer
Duties and Responsibilities
• Infectious disease surveillance, investigation, control and contact tracing.
• Premises inspection/health inspections for licensing, routine and control investigations.
• Water and food quality monitoring.
• Solid waste management.
• Community health and hygiene education.
• Production of health reports.
• Any other duties as may be reasonably assigned by the Environmental Health Officer.
Qualifications and Experience
• At least a Diploma in Environmental Health or equivalence.
• A valid EHPCZ practising certificate.
• At least one year relevance experience.
• Not more than 55 years of age.
