Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill in the vacancies which have arisen within the Council.
Environmental Health Technician: Grade 10
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Job Functions
• Solid waste management
• Control of communication diseases
• Control of public nuisances and animal control
• Inspection of premises
• Control of vendors and vending sites
• Licensing of hawkers, vendors and business premises
• Noise control
• Environmental management
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications and Experience
• Must be a holder of a Degree in Environmental Health or its equivalence.
• A minimum of 2 years working experience in environmental Health in the public sector
• Must be registered with the Environmental Health Practitioners Council
• Clean class 3 and 4 drivers licence
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work effectively, both independently and within a team. Ability to handle pressure and work with minimum supervision.
