Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the above positions within the Town Clerk’s Department. The successful candidates will report to the Town Clerk.
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN
GRADE 10 × 2
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the positions of Environmental Health Technicians, which have arisen in the Housing and Community Services Department.
Duties and Responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Inspection of premises and recommending for licensing.
• Investigates infectious diseases and recommend intervention measures.
• Carry out health and hygiene education activities.
• Active search of infectious diseases, communicable diseases, investigate and report as well as referring to clinic.
• HIV/TB control.
• Solid waste management.
• Reinforces health standards at public places in the community and at institutions.
• Carry out random visits to ascertain absence of public hazards in the community.
• Supervises pest control activities.
• Water and food quality monitoring.
Qualifications and Experience
QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:
• Diploma in Environmental Health.
• Must be registered with the Environmental Health Council.
• At least two (2) years post qualification experience.
• A clean record of service and no criminal record.
• A citizen of Zimbabwe.
• Possession of a minimum clean Class 4 driver’s license.
