EXCAVATOR-DOZER OPERATOR
Applications are invited from interested and suitably qualified persons to fill in the following vacancy that has arisen within Croco Holdings group.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Loading ore and waste into haul trucks.
• Trenching, pit development, and bench preparation.
• Cleaning faces and maintaining safe working areas.
• Maintaining proper road camber, gradient, and surface quality.
• Ensuring smooth and safe traffic flow for haul trucks.
• Assist in waste dumping, ore stockpiling, and material movement.
• Maintain separation of ore and waste to prevent dilution.
• Support drilling and blasting activities (e.g., clearing blast areas.
• Conduct pre-start, operational, and post-operation inspections.
• Perform basic maintenance (greasing, cleaning, minor adjustments).
Qualifications and Experience
Key Skills and Attributes
• Strong knowledge of mining operations (load & haul, pit development).
• Proficiency in operating excavators and Dozers in mining conditions.
• Basic mechanical knowledge of heavy mining equipment.
• High level of precision and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure in a production-driven environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid Excavator Operator Certificate
• Valid Motor Grader Operator Certificate
• Minimum of 5 'O' Levels or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in open-pit mining operations.
• Proven experience operating both excavators and dozers in a mining environment.
