Job Description

Role Overview
The Finance Intern will assist the Finance Department in day-to-day financial operations, accounting processes and financial Reporting. This role provides an opportunity for hands on experience in Finance and Accounting functions within a non -profit organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key responsibilities:
1. Assist in preparing, organizing and maintaining financial documents such as payment vouchers.
2. Assist in preparing periodic bank reconciliations.
3. Assist in monitoring project budgets and tracking expenditure.
4. Provide support during internal and external audit processes
5. Provide support in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports as required.
6. Collaborate with procurement committees to verify compliance of documentation to accounting procedures and donor requirements.
Provide General Office support to the finance team through filing, drafting correspondence and other secretarial duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

A University student who is currently pursuing a Bachelor' degree in Accounting , Forensic Accounting or equivalent
