Job Description
Applications are invited for prospective applicants to fill in the above-mentioned position which has arisen in our organization. Job Title: Finance Manager Location: Harare Reports to: Managing Director
Duties and Responsibilities
• Preparation and review of Management Accounts and Financial Statements for presentation to management and quarterly board reports including the relevant analysis • Supervision of the credit management and financial management processes • Assess costing methods and recommends review • Cash flow management and ensures payment prioritization in line with strategy • Investment monitoring and management • Produces Financial Budget and tracks budget to actual monthly for variance analysis • Provides a variance analysis of the Actual versus Budget on revenue and expenses on a monthly basis. • Implement and maintain all financial accounting policies in line with International Financial Reporting Standards and International Accounting Standards. • Implements and maintains the Credit Control Policy of the company in line with the Insurance Council Agreements from time to time. • Implement recommendations from Internal and External Auditors on financial statements including credit control matters. • Facilitates and ensures successful internal and external audits. • Ensures that statutory returns and settlements are submitted timeously. • Implements and maintains the Financial Accounting Systems and procedures for effective financial control. • Responsible for corporate services of the company as company secretary.
Qualifications and Experience
• A Degree in Accounting or Finance. • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIS or CIMA Is required. • A holder of a post graduate degree such as MBA, MSc. Accounting or equivalent will have an added advantage. • A minimum of 10 years similar work experience, 5 years of which should have been at a senior managerial level preferably in the Finance/Insurance sector. • Experience of sage evolution is also an added advantage
