The trainee is expected to undergo on the job training whilst working as integral part of the Human resources team. The human resources trainee provides assistance in human resources operations.
Assisting in the development and implementation of the HR strategy and implementation
Monitoring the staff development budget
Assisting in the maintenance of organisational structure
Assisting in the coordination of the recruitment process
Maintain the contracts diary to ensure contracts nearing expiry and advising the HR manager on such
Assisting in setting up disciplinary committees and instigations
Following up on outstanding performance reviews maintaining an updated schedule
Assisting in making sure that all staff have updated job description
Assisting in the coordination of training calendar
Maintaining the register for mentees and mentors
Assisting in monitoring the graduate trainee program maintain monthly appraisals
Assisting in the implementation of policies and procedures
Ensures maximum confidentiality with regards to sensitive communication and staff records.
Assisting in ensuring successful staff exits and exit procedures.
Assisting in implementing health and wellness programs
Ensure personnel files are maintained in compliance with set standards.
Degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences with at least an upper second class
1-year attachment in a financial institution will be an added advantage
Studying towards an IPMZ diploma will be an added advantage
