IN-HOUSE CONTENT CREATOR
Full-Time | Harare
We are looking for a creative, energetic and highly organised In-House Content Creator to manage the day-to-day creation of digital content across a diverse portfolio of brands.
This is primarily a video content role, with a strong focus on Reels, TikToks and short-form video content.
We are looking for someone who understands social media, has a strong creative eye and can take an idea or moment and turn it into engaging content.
THE ROLE
Your full-time responsibility will be to ensure that our brands are consistently producing fresh, high-quality digital content.
You will work across different businesses and projects, capturing what is happening on the ground and turning it into content people actually want to watch.
This is not a role where you wait to be given footage and instructions every day.
We want someone who can look at what is happening and think:
“There is a Reel here.”
You should be able to plan it, shoot it, edit it and get it ready for publishing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Video & Reel Creation
Create regular short-form content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and other relevant digital platforms, including:
- Reels and TikToks
- Behind-the-scenes content
- Event highlights
- Interviews and testimonials
- Product and service videos
- Promotional content
- Educational and informational clips
- Lifestyle content
- Day-in-the-life content
- Trending and social-first content
- Short clips extracted from longer-form content
Filming
Attend activities, events and projects across our portfolio and proactively capture content.
You should be comfortable filming using:
- Smartphones
- Cameras
- Microphones
- Lighting equipment
- Gimbals and tripods
- Basic production equipment
You must understand framing, lighting, sound and how to shoot specifically for vertical social-media content.
Video Editing
Turn raw footage into polished, engaging short-form videos.
You should be able to:
- Identify strong moments within footage
- Create compelling hooks
- Add captions and subtitles
- Edit to music
- Use transitions appropriately
- Clean up audio
- Incorporate brand elements
- Create platform-appropriate versions of content
- Turn one piece of long-form content into multiple short-form pieces
Experience with CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve or similar editing software is an advantage.
Content Planning
Maintain a weekly content plan across the portfolio.
At any given time, there should be clear visibility on:
What are we filming?
What are we editing?
What is ready to post?
What is awaiting approval?
You will work closely with management to understand priorities and translate them into relevant, engaging content.
Content Library
Maintain an organised digital content library containing:
- Raw footage
- Edited videos
- Photographs
- Brand assets
- Testimonials
- Event footage
- B-roll
- Previously published content
All content should be properly organised, labelled and easy to retrieve.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are less concerned about formal qualifications than we are about your creativity, eye for content and portfolio.
You may be professionally trained or completely self-taught.
What matters is that you can create.
The successful candidate should be:
- Creative and visually strong
- Fast and efficient
- Reliable
- Highly organised
- Proactive
- Social-media savvy
- Comfortable working independently
- Good at spotting content opportunities
- Able to adapt content to different audiences and industries
- Comfortable working in different environments
- Willing to travel locally when required
- Able to work to deadlines and manage multiple content requirements
Basic graphic-design skills using Canva or similar platforms would be an advantage but are not the primary focus of this position.
PORTFOLIO REQUIRED
Applications without examples of previous work will not be considered.
Please submit 5–10 examples of Reels or short-form videos that you personally filmed and/or edited.
We are particularly interested in seeing:
- Your filming ability
- Your editing style
- Your understanding of hooks and pacing
- Your ability to tell a story in short-form video
- Your understanding of current social-media content

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Success in this role will be measured by:
- Consistency of content production
- Quality of short-form video
- Speed of turnaround
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to generate ideas independently
- Consistent coverage across the portfolio
- Organisation of the content library
Our objective is simple:
